Dragon Tarot Card of the Day for May 24 2008

TEMPERANCE Reversed. This card is about being stuck in the past, too introspective. What I see in the card today is: You are letting your past hold you back. You are to busy looking at what happened in your past and thinking about what you could have, would have and should have done if you could just go back and change things. You are missing out on what you have today and any opportunities to change your life simply because you don’t see them.

Sure you have had to work hard all your life, and no one has ever helped you. Yes there have been a lot of bad things happen, losses that you can never recover from completely. There are lots of things you could have or should have done differently. This card is trying to tell you to let it go, you cannot go back and change what has happened.

However you can do things to deal with it and change what is going on today. Deal with your life today. If you wish you had done something differently, great, see what you can do about it today. There are things you wish you had done, well see if you can do them today. What is it that keeps you stuck in the past? Can you do anything about it? If so, do so! Get off your butt and deal with it. If there is nothing you can do about your past, then get off your butt and start doing things about today. Otherwise in the future you will be looking back at today thinking, I should have, could have, would have if I could just go back and change it. As the saying goes, either piss in the pot or get off of it, just stop sitting there thinking about it.

If you think that your life was better in the past and you want to go back to that time, that life, that body, that whatever, guess what, you cannot. All you can do is try to change what is going on in your life today, so you have something to look forward to in the future. You don’t get anywhere looking behind you. Get over it, accept it and move on and enjoy what you have today, or what you can have tomorrow; if you work at it.
