THE EMPEROR. This card is about the struggle for personal independence. What I see in the card today is: You have been doing what everyone else wants you to do and be. You would like to be able to make decisions for yourself. You are not a child anymore and don’t feel you should be treated as such by anyone. You are looking to be able to make decisions, take action and live with the consequences. You want to be able to earn your way, to reap the rewards, benefits and headaches of taking care of yourself, paying your own way. You want to be able to feel pride in what you do, and in your accomplishments. You want to be able to do things and pay for things with money you earned, not something that was given to you. You also don’t want to be dependent on someone else, to have to ask for money so you can do something. You want your pride back. To do so you need to start relying on yourself today.
