Dragon Tarot Card of the Day for April 24 2008

THE HERMIT Reversed. This card is about isolation and alienation. What I see in the card today is: You are feeling left out and alone as if everyone around you does not include you. It is not that you are not around people but that you just don’t seem to be part of any group. You are not finding it easy to become a part of a group no matter how hard you try to get their attention. They just don’t seem to be interested in including you, let alone getting to know you. This is very difficult to live with.

Being able to identify yourself with in a group is very important, and very hard to do if you are just not accepted. Eventually you just stop trying and live in loneliness and depression because there is no one out there to talk with or hang out. I can tell you that you are not alone in this; it just feels that way. You will be able to connect with people, just not the ones you are trying become friends with right now. You are trying to hard and that is not helping. Stop trying to find friends, start looking at activities you like and find out where you can do that.

Join formal groups or activities not to make friends but to do what you enjoy. Chances are once you stop trying to make friends and just relax and do what you like you will find others with the same interested and friendship will grow from that. Go out and do things, and if you don’t find what you need in one group or activities, look for other places and groups to do that activity. Also you need to understand that you don’t need to be friends with the most popular people, or have tons of people to call friend, you just need one or two people who are real friends.

QUEEN OF SWORDS. This card is about a determined woman with a barrier between her and others. What I see in the card today is: You are so focused on the results or completion of a goal that you are missing out on everything else that is going on around you. You have lost touch with friends and family because you are so focused. You are sacrificing the very thing you are working so hard for. The goal has become more important then the trip to get there. You need to be dedicated and work hard but at the same time you need to enjoy your friends and family. What is the point of working so hard if you loose the very thing you are trying to help, your friends and family. A pay check is only money, it can be very lonely if that is all you have. What value does reaching a goal or getting a job title have if you sacrificed everything to get it? You need to value your friends and family and put time and energy into them as well, have a more balanced life.

THE WORLD Reversed. This card is about fears and carrying the world on your shoulders. What I see in the card today is: You have been taking on the responsibility of someone else’s actions. You are constantly making things right as if it was your job to take the consequences for them. You are afraid of what will happen if they have to take on responsibility and the consequences of his/her actions.

To be blunt you are not doing anyone any good by doing this, you are actually making this much worse by not letting them take responsibility and have to live with the consequences. This person will never learn nor change and you just end up having to deal with things that are just not your problem. Eventually he/she is going to do something you cannot fix or you will not be there to fix it for them. This person has no incentive to change or grow; you are taking those opportunities away from them by taking away his/her responsibility. This person can just keep doing what they want, when they want with out having to deal with the mess they leave behind. This has to stop, or it is just going to get worse. You need to stop now and let them get hurt now so he or she can learn.

THE EMPEROR Reversed. This card is about being unable to receive from others and being bossy. What I see in the card today is: You have become so used to doing things on your own that don’t know how to let anyone else do something. You cannot let go of the control. You don’t expect others to help; you expect to have to carry all burdens yourself.

You have trust issues; problems letting people close to you and you resent that you always to do things yourself. You don’t see that you are the person causing this. Every thing has to be your way; you have to be in control because you don’t trust others to do their part. You are very hard to be around. People don’t help because you don’t want it, or you make their lives hell the whole time and then just do it yourself anyway. You don’t ask for help, you try to do everything yourself.

You believe the only way to get things done right is if you do it all. Then you start sticking your nose into what other people are doing because you just know they are doing wrong you’re your way is better then what they are doing. You are always telling people what to do and when to do it, and not in a nice way. Your not trying to help people, you are trying to take over. You are not a fun person to be around. Let it go.

If someone asks you for help or advice, sure then you can help. If someone is buried under paper work, sure offer to help, but don’t try to take over the job or change how they do things. If you rushing to get everything done and someone offers to make coffee or help organize things or even just to set the table let them do it. It is a small thing and it will make them feel helpful, and take some stress off of you. So everything is not done to your standards, it is done and on time. People are not going to care that you did not personally do every little thing yourself, just that it got done, and to their standards. This is for both work and socially.

If you have guests over for dinner, do they really care if you set the table or if someone else did? Do they care if you personally arraigned the flowers or let your kids do it? Right now you are missing out on a lot of the big things in life because you are worrying about being perfect at the little things. What is better telling your kids to get out and leave you alone because your getting ready for the party, or to ask them to help and be part of it, show pried in what they have done be it set the table, fold the napkins, do the flower arraignment, or what ever? How can they feel pride and accomplishment if you are constantly denying them the opportunity, or nothing is ever good enough in your eyes? Just think about what your missing out and what else those around you are missing out on.

THE HIGH PRIESTESS Reversed. This card is about being superstitious and or deluded. What I see in the card today is: You have been disconnected from yourself and your belief system. You have lost touch with nature and empathy, the ability to connect with others. It is like you are a little boat with its moorings severed and you are just bobbing along the sea, lost with no idea of where you are, where you want to be or what is going on.

I don’t know if you have pulled back and have severed your contact or connections deliberately or not. What I can tell is that fear and hurt are keeping you disconnected. I don’t know if your are doing this more because as long as you are disconnected you don’t have to deal with the pain and lose, or if it is more that you are protecting yourself from being hurt in the future. I believe that it is a combination of both. If you can hide the pain away then you don’t need to deal with it, and if you never let anyone close they cannot hurt you.

The longer you keep this shell or wall up the harder it is going to be for you to take it down. It will become a way of life, not a temporary thing to let yourself adjust. You need to decide if you want to stay cut off and disconnected or be a part of something again?

PAGE OF COINS. This card is about wanting to change your line of work or take on more responsibility. What I see in the card today is: You are looking for a change and a challenge. You are tired of the same old routine and you want to expand, do more, and experience more. This is not just in your work, but your life. You are so ready to do more, be more and have more. It is time to go for a better job or a promotion. This is great for you, just don’t expect the rest of the word to be ready or aware that things have changed for you and that you want more. You have to let people know, get out there and go for what you want. You are going to have to work for the better job, or promotion. Just because your ready does not mean it is going to be handed to you. Don’t give up, just be realistic on how quickly you will be able to make this change.

STRENGTH Reversed. This card is about being too emotional and not thinking things through. What I see in the card today is: That the fear and anger about the health of your child is clouding your judgement. I am seeing that the child was hurt intentionally and that is what is killing you. You are becoming so lost in your anger (justified as it is) that you are not there for your child the way you need to be. Let others deal with finding and punishing, you hold your child’s hand. That is where you need to be now. Let your love push away the anger for now, you will have time to deal with that after. Now you just need to give your love and strength to your child. Your time and energy is much better spent holding and comforting your child. Don’t let anyone stop you from showing your child how much you love and care for them. Please don’t loose your chance to be with your child because of your anger about what was done. Being there for your child is more important then anything else.

You have my sympathy and sorrow that this happened. I want to say everything will be ok, but I cannot. I just know your child needs you now and you need to be there. No matter what happens now nothing will ever be the same.

FIVE OF WANDS Reversed. Normally this card is about being a challenge for others and that you need to hold fast to your resolve. The card is reversed which indicates that you either cave in all the time to others wants or that people find it easy to disregard your objections and opinions or find it easy to influence you. What I see in the card today is: You are too worried about what others think of you. There are two people in particular that seem to rule your world. What they want is what you want and do. They have more control in your life then you do. If they think something is cool or fashionable then so do you. You have your own opinions but you don’t voice them, mainly because you already know that they are not interested in hearing what you have to say. This is not healthy for you. You need to make some changes, become your own person again. Some how you have lost yourself in being their friend. If they are your friends then they should value who you are and what you have to say. They don’t. You don’t want to risk your social standing by alienating these two, and I don’t blame you. Just realise that the only power these two have over you and your actions is what you give them. Don’t let their opinions change who you are. You may even be surprised to find out that not every one likes these two, nor values their opinion, but they might just like you and value your opinion. For now you feel safer being friends with these two, but you need to ask yourself would you be happier not being friends with them?

You expect things to work out in your favour with out putting work into it. Your expectation is that others will do it for you. This is not going to work. You need to start understanding that you are not entitled to anything, nor can you expect every thing to be handed to you. This may have been how your life has been, but that is about to change. Time for a wake up call, and a cold bucket of water. You are so focused on yourself and your needs and wants that you have no empathy for or understanding of others. You have become disconnected from nature and understanding how things work in the real world. You also lack any spiritual guidance or connections to any belief system. You seem to be only interested in the materialistic side of things and immediate satisfaction off all your wants and desirers. You are not going to see yourself in this reading but the people in your life will identify you right away. Hopefully those that care about you will point this out to you in a nice way.

EIGHT OF SWORDS. This card is about frustration, the need for patience. It is about being unable to see the way out of a problem. What I see in the card today is: Right now you feel trapped, you have no options or direction that you can go that will not hurt yourself or others. This is incredibly frustrating. You know what you don’t want but cannot see a way out of it. There is a way out but you are just unable to see it now. This card is trying to tell you that there is a solution, but you’re not in a place right now to remove yourself from the situation. To be blunt you are blinded right now and something has to change to take the blindfold off, and then you will be like “Why didn’t I do that in the first place, that is so obvious why didn’t I see that before!” I cannot see if you have blinded yourself with beliefs or because you don’t want to admit to yourself that there is a way out and you don’t have to be here, or if someone else has blindfolded you and have convinced you that you have no options. I think it is a bit of a combination, someone has convinced you this, but at the same time you have let him or her, and you know it. No one is going to get you out of this but you. I hope you open your eyes sooner then latter and deal with getting out of this.
