Good jobs even harder. People are struggling to keep their jobs. This is not the time to expect a promotion or a great job to land in your lap. Yes you do work hard. Yes you are good at what you do, but so are thousands of other people and most of them are looking for work. Keep trying but don’t take it personally when you don’t get a job, or unable to find an opportunity. Things are going to be this way for some time. You have to take what you can get and strive for better later when there are actual opportunities. It really has nothing to do with you and everything to do with the economy. It is hard to improve your position in life, get a better job, or even get a job when there are not enough jobs for the people trying to get them.

You can become unemployed or be willing to do the job that is available. You want a better job, more pay, the feeling that you are a part of something and your contributions are valued. That is not happing today. Instead you need to decide what is better for you, having a job or needing to look for a job. This is a very hard place to be. You do deserve better, but you are not getting it any time soon. A lot of other people are in the exact same boat. This is not just happening to you. You are lucky most people don’t have the option of changing what they are doing to keep having a regular paycheck. Most suddenly don’t have jobs. Be thankful for the option you have.

The Tarot Card of the day is: TWO OF COINS Reversed. This tarot card is usually about the same line of work, in a different place. It is reversed indicating the possibility that it is not the same line of work, or it is but in the same place. What I see in the tarot card today is: You did this to yourself. You were so caught up in yourself that you did not see the effect you were having on others. People don’t want to work with you. You burned your bridges a little too fast and too easily. You are stuck where you are. You have to fight to even maintain that position. You are not going to rise in the hierarchy where you are.

If you want something different or more you will have to change where you work, and who you work with. You will also have to change your attitude and become more of a team player or you will find yourself right back in the same situation. You may even have to start at a lower position at different job before you can rise.

Get over yourself. Stop blaming others. This is what you did, not anyone else. Now you have to either live with it or move on, lose what headway you did make for the opportunity to do better. Take responsibility for your actions and behavior. Then work at improving your social skills and standing. Once you have improved those areas of your life try to find a new work place where you will have a chance at stepping up the ladder of success. Right now you don’t have any chance where you are, and it will not matter where you are if you don’t make the changes.

What I see in the tarot card today is: You have a change coming up. You feel it is a demotion. That you are doing less than what you are capable of. That no one respects you or your abilities. No, you just pissed the wrong person off. You are good at doing your job, otherwise you would not still have a job. The person is trying to teach you humility and remind you of your place, a non essential employee. You need them more then they need you. Learn from this if you still want a paycheck.

What I see in the tarot card today is: It takes time and effort to get along with people, to work with them. You need to put the time and effort into it. You may not like someone but you still have to work with them. You need to learn how to do that. You cannot expect people to change to please you. You need to change how you deal with them, not the other way around.

Stop only doing a half A**ed job. If you want to get ahead, or even just stay where you are you have to put the effort into your work. No one is helping you here. You need to show you are worth keeping on as an employee.
