You don’t want to have to invest time; energy or yourself into making nice with people you don’t know or care about. You don’t need any more emotional involvements; you don’t want to be sucked into other people’s emotional whorl winds and problems. To be blunt you just don’t care enough to get to know those around you better. You have your own things to deal with and playing nice with others is just not that high on your list of things to do. You don’t want to hang out at the bar, or spend your money on things you don’t want to do just to fit in. You may or may not have things in common with those around you but you don’t have the need to find out, or fit in. You are comfortable with the friends you do have don’t see much point in expanding that group right now, you have enough to deal with right now with out adding to it. If you become friends with some of them just because you spend a lot of time together that is fine, but your not going to go out of your way to find or be friends.
